Cretan Rusks

There is a great and very old tradition for making bakery products, especially rusks, which are widely used in many local traditional recipes. You have certainly heard of “dakos”, a specialty served locally: rusk ,slightly damp, covered with grated tomatoes,a little salt, mizythra , feta, or anthotiros cheese , olive oil and sprinkled with oregano- a real delicacy .
